Research brief 10- Idea development and research

As this is for a support group, community factors also can come in to the design. For example as well
as soft shapes and soft colours which I have planned to do so far, elements such as hands/body outlines could be used to signify the support of attending a support group and reinforcing the values of sharing and supporting each others stories to get better.

Using minds could work as it is for mental health support- however, I want to avoid cliche's too much and probably not relate the surrounding to the reason of their visit as it is to feel uplifted and positive.

I like the idea of having one of these hands tattooed somewhere. Just as a small, singular tattoo. /m.p.

When I visited a studio for PPP it was in a building in Leeds which holds the charity 'Map' who use art and music to nurture troubled teenagers. Their offices and studios contained art by the students and themselves, so it is self motivating. Using handwrendered strokes such as the NHS use below add an honesty and more homemade element, seen in a lot of mental health charity brandings such as Mind's.
