Brief 10 Research Project - Frazzled cafe and World Mental Health day

There are many interesting articles being posted on creative platforms on mental health day that can inform my Frazzled Cafe project

Studio Myerscough working with patients to create a happier, stress anxiety relieving environment within hospitals including colour popping murals and architectural elements. This is an amazing project with positive impact on those in need and is a strong example of how graphic design can help people which I am really interested in and want to work on with this campaign.

I have contacted Myerscough for an interview with no response thus far.

GraphicDesign& believe that “graphic design is uniquely equipped to communicate complex information and issues in memorable and meaningful ways". However, they strongly insisted that it is the collaboration between clients, patients, health professionals and end-users that is at the heart of these projects, telling us that “it takes all of us to work together and achieve real impact and change.” 'Walk into the bright, airy atrium of the Kentish Town Health Centre in north London and you are likely to feel better, whatever the reason for your visit. Behind the reception desk, KTHC’s metre-high initials, repeated and overlapped, seem to urge you to ‘KICK’ whatever it is that ails you – the habit, the health problem, the hypochondria.'

Update: This will be my main research project investigating how graphic design used within a space can have relieving affects like Studio Myerscough creates
