Brief 9: Charity/raising awareness skateboard decks

NOW WORKING ON A MAGAZINE INSTEAD AS A SMALLER BRIEF

1.Speaking in depth to the owner of Welcome skate shop in Leeds, being seen through popularity of female skaters going professional and releasing their own decks/selling out, more and more girls are getting in to skating and it is being seen more in the skating world. To celebrate this and encourage this further, creating a series of decks of female heroines (just an idea), could increase this and be bought by men also, as the Welcome owner did, bought a 'My little pony' deck for his daughters bedroom door.

2.To raise awareness for young mens mental health as it is at it's highest in suicide rates. The skating industry until very recently is a very masculine environment where personal issues were not discussed, as talked about in recent Vice documentaries on skateboarders with mental health issues.

The market is completely saturated and has so much variety to pick from. Catering to different skaters tastes ofcourse, but if there could be a set that is bought to donate to a charity/raise awareness/inspire a new generation of skaters, these could be top sellers.
